The leaders I respected most didn’t force it.
They just seemed…natural.
Not natural like “natural born leaders.”
Natural because they were clear.
• Clear on who they were
• Clear on what mattered
• Clear on their purpose
I’ve also seen the opposite.
Leaders who seemed to be copy-pasting something
from a book.
Saying the right things.
Making changes just to make a mark.
But it didn’t land. It didn’t feel like them.
And that’s the thing.
When leadership feels forced, it indicates a disconnect.
There is a disconnect between our natural style and how
we present ourselves.
The most transformational leaders I’ve known:
• lead from deep self-awareness
• lead from clarity of purpose
And that clarity doesn’t come from a title.
It doesn’t come from copying and pasting other leaders.
It comes from doing the inner work.
If you’re in a season of transition.
Transitioning into something bigger or more uncertain.
And you know this kind of clarity is what you’re after.
You’re not alone. I’ve been there too.
