Leaders, are you falling into the “I’ve Always Won” trap?

You’ve excelled at everything in your career.

And because of that, you’ve earned:

  • more opportunities
  • more responsibility
  • more people to lead

And now, it’s piling up.

The pressure is mounting.

And instead of asking for help, you think:

“I’ve always figured it out on my own. I can do it again.”

Or, “They’ll think I’m weak if I ask for help.”

False.

Asking for help is courageous.

It shows:

  • Humility
  • Self-awareness
  • Situational awareness

When you ask for help, you’re not just helping yourself:

  • Your team sees you lead with honesty and trust
  • You feel less burned out and more focused
  • Things become clearer

Your team doesn’t expect you to have all the answers.

In fact, you erode trust when you pretend that you do.

So, don’t fall into the “I’ve Always Won” trap.

Be courageous.
