Are you being a good steward of your influence? What are you talking about, Brandon? Hang with me a minute…

This is for anyone in a position of leadership or influence, including social media. When you are in a position of influence, you are responsible for being prudent with your content. Your content could be a speech to your organization, the time of day you show up to work if you’re the boss, or a social media post, to name just a few.

As an influencer, your content will likely prompt someone to act or think a certain way. A way that could be good or bad for them, depending on the person and their unique situation. Frequently, people act because they trust you, believe in what you’re saying, or want to please you. It’s a tremendous responsibility and should be taken seriously, no matter the size of your audience.

We’re not perfect at this and never will be, but I believe it should be front of mind when leading. I believe in sharing information freely and factually.  Check out my recent guest appearance on The O Club podcast here: The O Club on Spotify   The O Club on Apple Podcasts

Leaders, have you ever sent the wrong message to your team because of your content? Do you have someone on your team helping you with these concepts? If not, please reach out to us at https://www.tieronelifeinsurance.com/contact/
